We're thrilled to report that yesterday (8/4/22), an "organic" sale of artwork took place fueled entirely by Art Visit!
Here's what happened: A woman who has been loosely following the career of emerging artist Anthony Bianconi googled his name and found the link to his Art Visit profile. Upon clicking the link and viewing his page, she requested a studio visit with him in 2 weeks time. We reached out to her, and Anthony, and confirmed the visit. We also informed Anthony that the buyer was specifically interested in his wire sculptures of insects.The visit lasted an hour, and at the end, she bought Anthony's wire sculpture of a mosquito for $250! Since we don't take commission, every penny went straight to him. Cha-ching!
We're sharing this story for a few reasons:
#1 Proof of concept. This is a huge milestone and good news for all of us. Art Visit can really be an alternative stream of income for artists and a more personal way for art collectors to see and buy art!
#2 We hope this inspires you, members of our community, to spread the word about Art Visit on your websites, social media pages, and in your newsletters and blogs.
